A New Look: Natural Pools and Swimming Ponds

Putting a pool in the backyard doesn’t have to mean laying a boring deck and adding a diving board to the deep end. In fact, if you want to create a unique outside environment, take a look at these nature-inspired swimming pools (or ponds), and consider doing something like this to create your own backyard getaway!

Building a green pool surrounded by lily pads and tall grass will make the family feel like they’re vacationing somewhere else while they’re swimming in the backyard.

This one is quite the project! Putting together an inset pool like this with a staircase and all will take time and patience, but all of the trouble is worth it!

And last but not least, another nature-inspired swimming pool surrounded by lily pads and tall grass creates a serene piece of paradise just outside your backdoor.
